Sorry for tha lack of posts! been super busy lately and blogging takes up a fair amount of time

Things that happened last week:

~My mum told off designer Peter Alexander.

~Had my super 60's party (I'm now 17! yay!)

~Got a huge hangover (not so yay)

Lets start off with my mum and The designer Peter Alexander. Peter Alexander designs chic and beautiful sleepwear, with vibrant colours and cute prints. Any way, as a mother's day promotion, Peter was visiting all of his stores with his mum, signing autographs and giving discounts.
So my mum walks up to him:

Mum: Hey, your the designer right?
Peter: Yes, hi nice to meet you *shakes hand*
Mum: Peter, I love your stuff, my daughter always drags me in here when we go to garden city, and i would buy something here every week if your designs were catered to larger women like me!
Peter: *Speechless*
Mum: Here's what you should do; Make the straps bigger and put more room in the bust for larger ladies!
Peter's Mum: That's what I've been trying to tell him!
Mum: listen to your mother, peter!

Peter Alexander
Later on he comes over to us, and says "thanks, you really made my mum's night" it was so funny!

oh and i brought these while I was there! so pretty x

The next day was my birthday, and The party went amazingly well (which is good because I once had a party when i was nine where i invited heaps of people and only two showed up...and we hired a magician and everything. so crushing!) I downloaded heaps of 1960's music and put up fairy lights and balloons, made jelly, pigs in blankets, marble cake, and a whole heap of themed food.

don't know what happening here..

We had a cocktail called a snowball which was blue CuraƧao and lemonade, red and white wine, and a bowl of mysterious punch which kept changing colour. needles to say, the hangover that arose the next day was massive, but worth it.

I changed the blog layout for something different...what do you think?

I had three assessments today, figure drawing, fashion history and studio.

I was really worried and nervous about the teacher seeing my final garment after he really ripped into some other students, but when he came to mine, he was really nice....and he liked it ~!

made the terrifying 6 weeks of staying up late and stabbing my fingers with needles worthwhile

{I feel like I might be able to do this}

light-up my eyes

I love wearing crazy eyelashes, but when I stumbled arcoss these  via ecouterre,
I fell in love.

"the lashes have little tiny LED lights that are equipped with inclination sensors that track movement, so you can turn the lashes on or off by tilting your head. The sensor can perceive the movements of the pupil in the eyes and eyelids. If you wear it and move your head, LED Eyelash will flicker following your movements. It is as simple to use as wearing false eyelashes and as easy to remove as taking off a piece of jewelry."

Sadly, its just a concept.

I'm busy working on my garment for studio, its so frustrating.

I just want to curl up in bed with Soko playing softy in the background, and read a nice book.

the power of Karl

watched a really good doco on Karl Lagerfeld, today called "Lagerfeld Exposed". showcasing his work, methods and daily life.

For those who don't know who Lagerfeld is, he is a fashion icon, and is head designer and creative director for the fashion house Chanel. Lagerfeld helms his own label fashion house, as well as the Italian house Fendi.

A very interesting man. I would love to someday do an internship at Chanel, so I am going to study hard this year!

factory party!

I've been watching factory girl lately, and since its my birthday in a couple of weeks, I thought I would have a swinging sixties party!

I can't wait to see all my friends dressed up !

Sorry about the lack of posts lately, been at the three day music festival fairbridge! me and a couple of friends camped there, and heaps of other people I know kept popping up (Perth is just to small)!

Fairbridge is a music festival way up in Pinjarra with folk, roots, blues, acoustic, Celtic, a capella and world music. It was a long drive down, and I camped for the frist time in my life. It was heaps of fun, chilling and dancing to unusual music, hanging out with friends and making new ones, and eating lots of great festival food!

Any who will post photos later, in the meantime, here are some photos of the Comme Des Garcons that Frankie bought me (well we went halves. haha.)

This is a bit old, but still good none the less....

View it full size here (yeah the viewer isnt working that good):  pac-man: the movie

Acta non verba*

Today was filled gloom and melancholy. Some things happened with my friend, involving trust, and it ruined my day. Sat around the house watching french films, and re-writing txts. My mum and I went out to Garden City and she brought me some nice shoes to try and cheer me up. Tomorrow I have work for 11 hours.

*Latin for "Deeds, not words"

...but you did.
why would you do that?
