Friday was the John Curtin Ball, it was great seeing everyone from my old school.
Got my hair done brigitte bardot style and wore long black feather eyelashes.
Heard my ex is spreading rumors and lies about me though, which isn't fun. just acted civil around him and his new girlfriend. I hope he can be happy enough with her, that he forgets about it.
Met some nice people, some cute people.
The Ball was at the Sheraton Hotel, Which was beautiful. It even had ice sculptures!
The music was not to my taste, but it was fun dancing away the night.
I will upload photos when i get them developed

It girl, screen star, soft voice, zooey deschanel

"Zooey Claire Deschanel (born January 17, 1980) is an American actress, musician and singer-songwriter. In 1999, Deschanel made her film debut in Mumford, followed by her break out role as young protagonist William Miller's troubled older sister Anita in Cameron Crowe's 2000 semi autobiographical film Almost Famous. Deschanel soon became known for her deadpan supporting roles in films such as Elf (2003) and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005). She then began playing lead roles in films, including Yes Man (2008) and (500) Days of Summer (2009).

Since 2001, Deschanel has performed in the jazz cabaret act If All the Stars Were Pretty Babies with fellow actress Samantha Shelton. She plays keyboards, percussion, banjo and ukulele. She has sung in several of her films, and her debut album Volume One (recorded with M. Ward under the moniker She & Him) was released on March 18, 2008. The follow up album Volume Two is slated for release March 23, 2010. Deschanel has a mezzo-soprano vocal range." (wiki)

And I think she is pretty damn neat. Check out her music on: She & Him

Oh and here is She & Him's new video, In the Sun, bringing back highschool crushes with a silly, cute, and a tad sad music video:

colour hues and soaked shoes

Today was a whirl wind.
In the afternoon a massive storm broke out and flooded south fremantle, and the church my friend phoebe's grandfather painted,  the windows broke and flooded.

an omen?

The storm hit while me and Tegan were in the art gallery, and the entrance flooded.

rain, lightening, hail.

Then while I was waiting at the bus after getting off the train, a massive lightening storm broke out, and from canning bridge I could see Perth alight.

It was scary, but exciting.

The Robots are taking over!

I'm really in love with the brit electropunk band, Robots in Disguse. The group is composed of Dee Plume (Delia Gaitskell – vocals, guitars), Sue Denim (Suzanne Powell – vocals, bass), they have amazing style and there songs are super catchy. They have done cameos for the Mighty Boosh (Dee Plume used to date Noel Fielding, and is in a lot of there vids). anyway this band is super cool, and I really hope they tour Australia one day. Check them out:

got any skins?

lately my life has been like a skins episode. funny. it never used to be like that.
Cassie is my favorite. Hannah Murray, who plays her is amazing pretty, she's modeled for vogue and stuff.
People say I'm like Cassie.
wonder if that's good or bad?

autmun nights

Last night was lovely dovey.
We started off with dinner in freo and then headed to the cafe downsouth and bummed free glasses of milk off a friend who work there.
went to a shop opening.
Then saw a boring movie but left.
but then the night beagan.
Frankie and I went to this party in south fremantle which was pretty good, drank wine, bumped into people I used to know, ate potato chips, talked all night and watched the sun rise.
In the morning I cheerifully made cups of tea to the kids with hangovers, then me, Frankie, and a guy called Jack walked into fremantle in search of deep fried food.
got home.
fell asleep.
A bunch of people I meet at the party are going to the beach tonight, but I'm not sure wheather to go or not.
maybe, maybe.....

"When Bowie was 15 years old, his friend, George Underwood, wearing a ring on his finger, punched him in the left eye during a fight over a girl. Bowie was forced to stay out of school for eight months so that doctors could conduct operations to repair his potentially blinded eye. Doctors could not fully repair the damage, leaving his pupil permanently dilated. As a result of the injury, Bowie has faulty depth perception. Bowie has stated that although he can see with his injured eye, his colour vision was mostly lost and a brownish tone is constantly present. Each iris has the same blue colour, but since the pupil of the injured eye is wide open, the hue of that eye is commonly mistaken to be different." - wikipedia

Birthday ideas

My birthday is coming up and I have a few ideas for it:

1960's go-go party (with cocktails and groovy music)
Paint party (everyone wears white and we all have paint..)
or something that involves me having a bouncy castle...they are always fun.

Okay, so Renee's party was totally amazing, although it was in the middle of nowhere and took us nearly an hour to find it...but we bumped into Frankie's friend Danae at the bus stop tongue locked with a guy called Tom who help us find it about luck!

The party was in in singleton beach, as Renee had rented this huge house for two nights..there was punch, merriment, an ambiance of cute indie boys and lots of teddy shaped food to be had! The birthday girl was dressed as a panda magician, and her boyfriend as a teddy boy.

The party went on till the wee hours of the morning and a bunch of beefy guys stayed awake all night playing loud music. Me, Frankie, Gabe, and Fee crashed on the floor of the garage only managing to get two hour sleep before we caught the bus away from the party house (people were still drinking and dancing at 8:30 in the morning!)

I forgot my camrea, so I will steal some of Phoebe's photos so you guys can see what happened that night...
My cold now is worse than ever (I found out that drinking does not cure colds...oh hum...) but I have Tafe plus I'm meeting Linley to discuss and shop for the John Curtin Ball. Ah, that's life!

(I still need a dress for the ball! Its next Friday! help!)

Get well NOW!!

Billie and Rose was good (a bit less exciting than I thought) but the worse possible thing happened.... I got F***ing sick!!! (sorry, I swear alot when I'm ill). So I brought Robitussin, Butter-menthols, Strepsils etc.

I'm drinking heaps of tea with honey, and washing out my nose with warm water and salt (hey I'm prepared to try anything if it helps!)

I have been looking forward to Renee's party for ages, and I am going to go!!

got any good cures for a cold?

I'm in a strange mood...very zen and at the same time slighty afraid...
I wish I could find the one for me.
These things take time.
