I'm in the paper! (West Australian, Friday the 30th).
My school (central TAFE) gets called up to do interviews when it comes to fashion, because most of my teachers are either designers or in the industry. The paper was doing a piece on people who recycle clothing and collect vintage pieces.
So my pattren making teacher heard that I collect vintage clothing and repair and sell it, she asked me if I wanted to be in the paper.
and was like OHMMYGGGOOOSHHING YESHHHH!
Next day I had a photographer come in, and the day after we had the interview.
Thanks to Stephanie Paniter, and photographer Ben Crabtree.
oh and you can read it online here : [link]

My darling friend Phoebe has gone away to Europe for 5 weeks.
I am already missing her, but she is so lucky to have a chance to go over there.
so i am writing a little dairy of funny things that are happening to me so she is all up to speed when she gets back.
I went to an art gallery opening at Fremantle Arts Centre, which was the opening of a couple of exhibits Fashioning Now, the Glowmesh project and Dream Bore.
Free wine, great music, and people.
The fashioning now had to lovely pieces by Issey Miyake and some stuff by Romance Was Born. It was breathtaking to see these pieces up close...considering you only ever really see them on the catwalk.

Today was pretty nice. caught up with some old friends and went shopping in the rain. I got an late birthday present from my friend Patches, a book about David Bowie. I also brought presents for two of my friends birthdays. Gabe and his Girlfriend, Phoebe. Have birthdays right next to each other... its so cute!
So I got some lovely gifts and picked up a couple of things for me (tehehe)
I got a pair of blue suede shoes, a fringed black leather jacket and some pink tights (all from op-shops).
Also, I might be going another photo shoot too, this time in a studio. The photographer who helped Gabe out gave me his card, said if I wanted to do another shoot, he would be able to help.

I can't wait for this. Sofia Coppola, the genius that brought us The Virgin Suicides, Lost in Translation and Marie Antoinette is flimming a new movie starring Stephen Dorff and Dakota Fanning's little sister Elle. The plot go something like this:
"Johnny Marco (Stephen Dorff) is a bad-boy A-List actor stumbling through a life of excess while living at Hollywood’s legendary Chateau Marmont Hotel. His days are a haze of drinks, girls, fast cars and fawning fans. Cocooned in this celebrity-induced artificial world, Johnny has lost all sense of his true self. Until, that is, his 11-year-old daughter Cleo (Elle Fanning) unexpectedly shows up and unwittingly begins to anchor him. Johnny’s fragile connection to real life slowly revives in her presence. So when the time comes fro Cleo to leave, his sense of loss is palpable, but the gift of hope she has also brought him leads to a beautiful, poetic denouement imbued with all of Coppola’s remarkable powers to conjure mood and atmosphere." - The Playlist
Written and directed by Sofia, its something of a family affiar, with her brother Roman and executive produced by their Francis Ford Coppola (along with Fred Roos and Paul Rassam) through his American Zoetrope studio.
The film will debut at the Venice Film Festival, then everywhere else at the end of the year on 22nd of December. You can watch the trailer here.
